South Austin Senior Activity Center
South Austin Senior Activity Center (SASAC) offers recreational, educational, social and leisure opportunities and programs for senior citizens living in the Austin community.
SASAC is a 12,311 square foot facility nestled among numerous large oak and cedar trees on 4.61 acres of parkland. An attractive and colorful community flower garden, located just off the back porch, is a wonderful setting for conversations and outdoor games. Facilities include rooms for ceramics, billiards, exercise, meetings, arts and crafts, cooking and other multipurpose programs.

Arts and Crafts
Ceramics with Annie
Wednesdays 9:00am-11:00am
Learn the proper techniques including cleaning, staining and glazing, or painting and finishing with acrylics.

Computer Lab
The SASAC Computer Lab is open for individual use during regular business hours whenever a meeting or presentation is not scheduled. Drop in to type a letter, surf the Internet, or check your e-mail. All four computers are connected to the Internet via cable modem and are loaded with software: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Basic computer terminology and components will be discussed. Participants will receive "hands on" experience to develop the basic skills needed to use a personal computer.

Senior Lunch Program
Meet new friends while eating a nutritious hot lunch at the South Austin Senior Activity Center . A $1 donation for those 60 and over is greatly appreciated. This donation offsets the cost of staff, meals cost, dietary supplies, and delivery.
Meal Tickets are distributed on a First Come First Served basis beginning at 9:30am each morning.
Tickets distributed equal the number of meals ordered for that day.
Lunch is served daily from 11:30am - Noon with milk and water. People who have reservations are served first.
Keep in Mind If you are under 60 years of age, a meal costs $3.95.

Trip registration is a FIRST-COME, FIRST SERVE SYSTEM. Trip Registration Forms are available at 8:00am . Trip Registration will start at 9:00am . You may sign up for yourself & one other person. You must pay for the trip at the time you register. All trips are subject to change due to weather. No credits/refunds will be given unless a replacement is advanced from the waiting list or the center cancels the trip.
